Colorado, mile(s) high.

Sorry for the late blog post, I had a few hectic days of travel, leaving no free time.My past week was spent in Colorado at Snow Mountain Ranch at about 9,000 feet high, where we (the wolf pack) joined the SMS juniors for fall camp. The the amount of skiing and snow was incredible! Since the racing for the trip was over, I got the chance to get in a volume week filled with distance skis and adventures. After being about 4 weeks at altitude, I finally felt acclimated to the thin air so it was fun to be able to really ski up hill in Level 1 (for the non-skiers: the easiest training level where you can ski and talk and your heart rate is pretty low). One of our first days on the ranch, the wolf pack (Kam, KO, Gabe, Lo) and I skied up Blue Ridge, which is a trail that climbs about 2,000 feet to the top of a scenic ridge. We almost reached 11,000 feet! On the way down, Lo, Gabe and I shredded some pow through the trees and built a jump. On Saturday, our team did a time trial with a local ski club during the snow storm. It was hard racing at 9,000 feet (even when I was acclimated), but it was a blast to see so much snow and put in a hard effort.DSC_1682DSC_1688IMG_6148IMG_6150IMG_6154DSC_1705IMG_6157IMG_6168IMG_6179IMG_6199IMG_6207IMG_6218IMG_6221IMG_6240IMG_6241IMG_6252DSC_1756IMG_0015IMG_0019IMG_0027IMG_0030IMG_0041IMG_0046IMG_3426IMG_3342IMG_3211IMG_3215IMG_3217Not enough time to finish the blog.Take off time!
